Cat Larsen

Kids Fashion Photographer

From a young age, I've always had a passion for both photography and working with children. I believe there's something truly magical about capturing the essence of childhood through the lens. Kids have this incredible ability to be completely present, uninhibited, and imaginative. I wanted to document and celebrate that spirit, and fashion photography offered the perfect canvas for me to do so. I believe that creativity knows no bounds, especially when it comes to children. So, I strive to create an environment on set that is filled with joy, laughter, and exploration. I encourage the children I work with to let loose, be themselves, and have fun. When they are relaxed and comfortable, that's when the magic happens. I love collaborating with them, and their ideas often inspire me to take my own creativity to new heights. Every child is unique, and it's essential to honor their individuality in every photograph. I take the time to connect with them, understand their personality, and make them feel comfortable on set. By building a genuine rapport, I can capture their true essence. Whether it's capturing their infectious laughter, their curiosity, or their natural grace, I strive to bring out the best in each child and celebrate what makes them special. Children's fashion photography is an avenue where you can truly let your imagination run wild. Surround yourself with inspiration, experiment with different styles and techniques, and most importantly, have fun! Remember that it's the passion for creativity that brought you here in the first place, so let it guide you and allow your work to reflect your own unique vision.

Evangelia Pavlakos

Make-up & Hair artist

As a freelance make-up and hair artist based in Montreal, Canada, I am so privileged to earn a living doing something I love.

At age 29, I decided to completely change careers and pursue the dream I had since I was a teenager.

It was a leap of faith since I did not know anyone in the industry. I had to make many cold calls and send out countless emails that were rarely answered. Despite those barriers, I managed to develop a network of industry professionals like photographers and stylists who were also starting out like myself. We worked on creative projects together, which helped build up my portfolio.

With a lot of hard work, perseverance, sacrifice, and my supportive family (I am a mom of 3), I was able to get my foot in the door and never stopped since.

The best part of my job is that no two days are alike and I am constantly meeting new people on set. During my preparation time for the talent, I get to learn about them and have discussions on absolutely anything.

I love working in a team and collaborating on curating an image. There is nothing like being in a creative space and being inspired by the people around you to create magic.

I am constantly learning about new products, new techniques as well as the latest technologies in both make-up and hair.

I knew I was creative from very young but it took me a really long time to find the right outlet for me. I am so glad I took a chance on myself and pursued my passion. I have no regrets.
